Edahn Small: PARTING THOUGHTS

Parting Thoughts

Today I said goodbye to thee,
Our potential future we may never see.
Surrounded by your flawless nature,
Gracefully gliding through this chaotic ordeal.
I'm getting closer to you than ever,
Yet lonliness is all I feel.

An angry myst invades my mind,
Frustration is all I seem to find.
Mad because you're leaving
Through ignorance and through bliss,
You've helped me grow and now your company
I shall truly miss.

Yet important ideals often oppose,
Pricked on the finger by a thorned red rose,
Decisions are often difficult to make,
Understand life and extinguish the pain,
Don't feel bad because there's nothing to blame,
Yet despite the logic I feel the same.
