Hans Lellelid: BY THE MOONLIGHT

By the Moonlight

Our lives we trace through moon-lit trails
Slow wandering through the woods of time.
The way lies forth so dark -- yet pales
At ev'ry tragedy we mime.

In fear of what we cannot see
And wincing at the sounds of night.
We're ignorant and lost -- not free.
The clear cut way eludes our sight.

But close your eyes. Open your heart.
And over moon-lit grounds free roam.
Life's all that's beaufiul in art
And nature's to our souls sweet home.
