Renee: IN THE DARKNESS

In The Darkness

In the darkness of the night,
Children hide, in fear, in fright.
They are scared of the one out there,
Who sits and waits, to steal, to scare.

Outside there is a world of darkness,
Noshining light to break the starkness.
It is here that he must reside,
For he is not allowed inside.

He sits and waits, to steal, to scare,
They are afraid to go out there.
So they hide, in fear, in fright,
From the darkness of the night.
