Amy Irming: HOPES

Hopes

        Searching, seeking, seekeing out
Looking for a long lost key
        To open up a door.
        Hoping, dreaming, praying
For an end that never comes
        To close the doors forever.
In peace there is no fear, no hurt,
        The walls are open wide.
A tunnel with no end extends
        Beyond the sight of all.
A dream, a hope, a prayer that shimmers
        At the very end.

        Amy Irming
