Malaysia King: THE GIFT OF LOVE

The Gift of Love

Every hope
Filled with dreams
Bright new
Brand new
Hopeful schemes
Pastel shades
And crystal blue skies
First flight of loving
In your eyes
Soon to dim
And then you flee
Leaving me alone with me
The things I fear
The things you said
The burning rivers in my head
But all above we shared my soul
So old, so bare
Afraid of you , afraid of me
Of men
Until the bright new dreams begin again
The future never quite the same
Eventually, a different game
Aware at last of what I know
The gift of love
The gift of sorrow
